Lucky Ice Cream Parlor and Inn (Wow? A 2 for 1 deal!)

Simpkin looked over the selection appreciatively. "Man...Comatose, Collide, Invincible...You've even got Alien Youth in here! I guess Comatose is good..." He handed the cds back to her with respect. "I don't mean to sound so shocked, but this place is so...happy, I didn't think they'd have anything like this."

Miki winced at the loud music and went back to staring at the sprinkles.
"This music is out of place. We should be playing something like The Weight or Aqua...or something," she said so quietly she didn't expect anyone to answer. "Because I don't like...the music...I guess...meep."

"Did you want anything?" Miki asked Yonit.

Simpkin sighed. "Well, okay. Aqua's alright too...By the way - Maru, right? - I was kind of hoping to find a cool place to crash for the night, and I saw that rooms for rent sign in the window...How much for a room?"

Simpkin did a quick mental check of how his finances looked. It wasn't too good.

"All right...Well, do you need a busboy?"

Simpkin nodded. "Yeah, you know...The guy who cleans tables once the people are finished with them?"

Momo chuckles. Same humor as always Maru. She did think the music might need some changing for Miki and Yonit's sake, so she skips-to-her-loo to the CD player and changes the disc like a chef. This might get good. So she sits and listens to the conversation move toward another employment.

A figure threw the door open and filled the doorway with his shadow...because he was very tall and the door was not.
The room felt even more crowded. xD
He stalked inside and pounded some money down on the counter.
"Is this enough for one night?" he asked.
A skeleton with large, yellow eyes and red pupils walked in after him and asked in a high-pitched New Jersey voice "Hey, Boss, is it okay if I park Bill around back?"

The tall man looked behind him at the corpse and nodded, then looked back at Maru.

Simpkin glared at the mysterious figure. "Hey man, I was in the middle of talking to the lady. Do you mind waiting for just a little bit?"

"Hey, Lord Zerkei, are you gonna let this kid talk to you like that?" the skeleton chortled and put his hands on his boney hips.
The man swallowed, his gaze never leaving Maru's face, and said almost in a whisper, "I wouldn't concern myself with such low vermin, Kvar."

Simpkin stood up, pushing his chair backwards and almost making it fall over. "If I'm such low vermin, why don't you fight me and put me in my place? And you," he turned to Kvar,"Stay out of this. My beef is with him, not you, so keep that skinless trap of yours shut."

((Simpkin's only doing this to be annoying. He's not really trying to pick a fight, but I can't resist. ))

"Do you use your ears or are those jsut there for decoration?" Zerkei hissed. "I'm not even going to bother. It would be rude anyway...to cause such upset in this girl's hotel. Why don't you just sit down and eat your ice cream?"

"I've already eaten my ice cream. Besides, your the one who interrupted her in the middle of a sentence. And if this is such a nice place, why are you dragging things like *gestures to Kvar* that in here?"

"I'm not going to argue with you," Zertec the destroyer said.
Kvar's jaw dropped and he glared at Sedric. "He did not DRAG me in here, I followed him in. Oh. And can I have two scoops of mint chocolate chip in a cup, please? With chocolate chips on it?"

Miki, whose eyes were as wide as saucers, nodded slowly and began the make the ice cream, then handed it to the skeleton. He took it in his boney hand and dumped the whole thing in his mouth. The cup fell out of his rib cage and clattered to the floor.

"Mm! That is good ice cream. Best I've had since I resurfaced. Ha!" He laughed and smacked his knee.

Simpkin snorted. "Anyway, would you accept my application, Maru? I don't particularly want to be paid...I'd just like something to do."

Maru: (The whole time you two were were arguing, she fell asleep.)Zzz. Huh? What? OH!
I'll take your application. Yes, yes...yes... *falls asleep at the register again*
Yonit: (somewhere in the fight) Um... I'll go... I guess... bye..

Simpkin turned to Yonit and laughed. "You don't have to leave just because we had a fight. I was only messing with both of them anyway. And thanks for giving me a job. When do you want me to start?"

Maru: You can throw your stuff upstairs (right around the corner here..).
Start whenever... but you'll have to pay for your rent until then.
Breakfast is served whenever Yonit gets here. You'll have to get your own lunch, and dinner is around 7.
